Meriting Youth Development held its Group 2 Graduation Ceremony on June 14, 2015, celebrating the achievements of another cohort of young people who successfully completed our job readiness programme.

The ceremony was a joyous occasion filled with pride and excitement as graduates received their certificates and celebrated their accomplishments with family, friends, and the Meriting team. Over 30 young people graduated from the programme, equipped with new skills and confidence to enter the job market.

A Day to Remember

The event featured inspiring speeches from programme coordinators, testimonials from graduates, and performances by the learners. Special guests included representatives from our partner organizations and local community leaders who came to support the graduates.

"This programme has changed my life. I came in with no hope and no direction, and now I have skills, confidence, and a job offer. I'm so grateful to everyone at Meriting for believing in me."

The two-month intensive programme combines hard skills training in computer literacy and business administration with soft skills development including communication, teamwork, and interview preparation. Graduates leave not only with certificates but with the practical skills needed to succeed in the workplace.

We are proud to announce that over 70% of the Group 2 graduates have already secured employment or are pursuing further education. This success rate demonstrates the effectiveness of our approach and the dedication of our trainers and support staff.

The ceremony concluded with a reception where graduates networked with potential employers and celebrated their achievements. It was a fitting end to a transformative journey and the beginning of new opportunities for these young people.
